As our motto is to provide our clients with safe and compliant methods for disposal of hazardous liquid waste streams, Tiger Chemicals operates according to the highest standards of environmental and health and safety legislation.

Our site is permitted in terms of the following:

• Environment Conservation Act and National Environmental Management: Waste Act 2008: Permit No. 12/9/11/P98 for Hazardous Waste Treatment and Reclamation (H:H)
• EIA regulations
• Road Traffic Act and SANS Codes for Dangerous Goods
• National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act - Fuel Burning Devices
• Ekurhuleni by-laws for storm water management and effluent disposal
• Gauteng Waste Information System

Independent audits are carried out monthly by experienced and qualified environmental and health and safety consultants, each with over 15 years' experience and registered as Approved Inspection Authorities and Environmental Assessment Practitioners.

In additional, detailed inspection and monitoring schedules are maintained by the site. The stream adjoining the site are checked twice weekly and our boreholes are sampled and analysed by external professionals every six months.

Health and Safety training, audits and inspections are conducted monthly and annually.

For our clients, we offer an on-line access to our site documentation for all of the above, including 3 months' worth of monitoring data, internal audits and the last years' worth of incidents records and external audit reports.
